The Northern Saskatchewan Independent Living Centre (NSILC) aims to help their community thrive by empowering people with disabilities They provide independent living skills training, peer and expert support, and small-business support for those living with a self-identified disability.
NSILC brought My Media on to help them refine their mission/vision statement, and land on a writing style that expresses their personality online. We started our work by holding in-depth discovery sessions designed to facilitate reflection on the essence of the organization. We went on to write a mission/vision statement and a tone/voice document—which can guide NSILC in how they express themselves digitally. On top of working on their written expressions of self, My Media modernized their existing logo and compiled several key visual brand guidelines into a brand book (alongside the content writing guidelines).
With a new brand in hand, My Media went on to build NSILC a website. Aimed to make program information more accessible and express the new brand—we spearheaded visual design, copywriting, and UX/UI design for the site.
